Yes — all our timber is sourced from responsibly managed forests and we are committed to sustainable forestry practices. Our timber meets FSC and PEFC certification standards, and certification details are available on request. We've been supplying quality timber to Gloucestershire for over 165 years and take our environmental responsibilities seriously.

Both C16 and C24 are structural grades of softwood carcassing timber, but C24 is the stronger grade. C16 is suitable for most standard domestic applications such as stud walls, floor joists, and roof rafters. C24 is required where higher load-bearing capacity is needed — for example, longer span joists or where building regulations specify it. If you're unsure which grade you need, our team can advise.

Yes, we stock composite decking alongside our traditional softwood decking boards. Composite decking is low-maintenance, highly durable, and ideal for busy outdoor spaces.

We deliver within a 75-mile radius of our Gloucester depot using our own fleet, covering Cheltenham, Stroud, Tewkesbury, Cirencester, Bristol, Hereford, Swindon, Oxford, and the Forest of Dean. Absolutely. Our depot at Canada Wharf, Bristol Road, Gloucester GL1 5TE is open for collection. This is ideal if you're on a tight schedule or want to check the timber before taking it away. Place your order online or call ahead on 01452 300159 so we can have it ready for you.
